TEKS for Mathematics
- TEKS 3.3(A): Represent fractions greater than zero and less than or equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 using concrete objects and pictorial models, including strip diagrams and number lines. Kids match pictures, numbers and words for each fraction.
Virginia Mathematics Standards of Learning

Fractions Activities: Chocolate Theme give second and third grade kids four hands-on ways to practice halves, thirds, fourths and sixths with a chocolate theme.
Kids build flap books that match each fraction picture to its number and word, then play spin and cover, Bump and a matching game.
Start with the flap books to teach the fractions, then use the games for practice in a math center.
